Question: Im about to take the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test in a few weeks. How much should I study for this? (this is directed towards anyone in any branch of the US military who had to take a similar test) I'm really good at math and got a 630 on the GRE. Should I even waste time studying for the math section if I already am good at it? Any info will help, thanks
Yeah I think you should, Im not exactly sure how they grade you, but you geta GT score and depending on your GT score and I forgot what the other one is called those are the jobs you can choose. Any way your GT score is an accumulation of all 9 test. You can be a genious at math, but if you dont know about anything else you wont be allowed to join. The ASVAB consisted on 9 parts when I joined the Army (proud grunt) 2 of math, Reading comprehension, English language, decoding, Mechanic, Electrical anyway good luck though.
Question? why The Air Foce just curious? because some branches have better options depending on your MOS.
thanks for your answer...I took a practice test to see where Im at and I need to really study general knowledge of airplanes and general science. Not too many people have that kind of knowledge about airplanes but I'm sure once in I'll wind up learning alot more about them! I think for the other stuff I'm pretty decent at (verbal, math, arithmetic knowledge, word knowledge, table reading, rotated blocks, even even instrument comprehension which surprised me actually).
Answer: to your question...It seems like the best thing for what I actually want to do (out of all the military branches) which is meteorology. I wouldn't mind doing research either.

Yeah no problem, thats cool then, when you get out you could even work for Lockheed & Martin or even NASA if meteorology is what you're into. When I joined I couldn't decide if I wanted to fly Helo's or be a Paratrooper, (despite what the Marine Corp says they aren't the best, they dont have paratroopers, ut they are just as good grunts, or Jarheards o Devil Dogs, well earned, anyway we all need each other out there, a little competition only makes us better. Army Infantry also does 14 weeks Basic training)I choose Infantryman cause I wanted to be in the thick of it, unfortunately got sent to a Battallion that was barely beign created and didn't want to Re-Up. Anyway if I can give you some advice is, well I dont know if its the same in the Airforce, but always team work, and well learn to deal with Hurry up and wait. Good Luck

Two-part Question: Why do most people feel the need to be in a relationship with someone to be happy? Is it some sort of validation thing because people don't feel super secure otherwise or what? (Notice 'most'.)
Secondly: Why do people feel the need to outdo their ex, or find someone almost immediately after breaking up with someone?
1) I think its a combination of many things. Could be one (or more) of the following:
- Dislike loneliness
- Some sort of biological clock that tells you that its time find some security in life
- Seeing others experience it and getting the longing for it
- Seeing it on Hollywood and elsewhere which incites a longing for it.
- Experienced love and comfort of another in the past and wish for it again.
2) Its a mental stability thing imo. We feel the need to show that we are strong and not dependant and thinking of the ex even if we are. We like to show that we have moved on and are better than the other person to show a positive mind frame as opposed to a negative and weaker mind frame. Could also be to ease the loneliness and ache that may come along with breakups.

@nighthowls- yeah NASA has definitely crossed my mind already yeah I have a good idea of what I want to do it's just getting there is the challenge but I think I can do it. I'm the first in my family to get a degree so if I can do that, then I can go through with this. It'll just take discipline and determination and ambition which I have lots of! And thanks again for your knowledge

QUESTION:

Answer: I just got a vest that fit me at a thrift shop and sewed on patches and added studs I bought later on. Believe me, it's much more satisfying doing it yourself -- you feel a lot more proud to sport it. I like it so much ... hell, I might just post a picture up someday if I remember to!

Question: There is a Black Metal song I used to listen to ages on Black Metal Radio but I can't remember what the band was called. I'm sure the song was called 'Suicide' and the album cover was of a guy chained down in a bath and I remeber the cover was quite yellowy. Does anybody know the band name?

Answer: I feel a bit stupid answering my own question but I've found out what it was now. It was the album that was called 'Suicide' and it was by Norwegian Black Metallers 'Mactatus'.

Question: How do I death grunt?
answer: it's difficult to tell someone over the internet, but if you know how to do the "mrrrhhhmmmm" thing in your voice, like in the beginning of Holy Diver by Dio, just do that but go completely overkill, it's fairly easy and you don't have to ruin your voice like many people go preaching around.

Secondly: Why do people feel the need to outdo their ex, or find someone almost immediately after breaking up with someone?
for the first part, there are many people who pretty much have trouble sleeping alone or something, and they need a partner almost constantly in order to be happy. i myself can't really understand them, as i've been a loner most of my life.
as for the second part, well, this has something to do with human nature, when we're vulnerable we tend to want to show the world and ourselves that we are strong or something and can get over stuff easily(of course, most of the times we can't). that's why some people try to "win the break-up" as they say in How I Met Your Mother, it's a great comedy show but the relationship-related lessons are depressingly true and say a lot about how we all behave in real life.
people who try winning the breakup are pretty much desperately wanting to end up better off than the ex to validate themselves, and that is why people do stupid or vengeful stuff in order to get back at their exes(which i don't really understand unless the ex in question was an asshole/bitch and/or the couple broke up because of him/her)

I guess only natural dark color has it own light version. Contrarily, yellow doesnt has dark yellow, right ?

Not quite. I want to listen to the stuff I play in my PS3 with headphones. My TV doesn't have a headphones port so I was thinking that maybe there is something that could allow me to connect headphones directly to the audio exit of the RCA connector. That's what I am looking for, if it exists. Thanks.

Dark/light colors are known as "shades" in the color spectrum. In the case for the color yellow, it is a subtractive color (deals with white light to reflect an image). While a "dark" yellow doesn't necessarily exist, there are darker shades of yellow such as amber and various types of gold. You might also want to look into pigments for a better understanding of how light/dark colors work.

Question: I use my laptop connecting to a wi-fi, I wonder does the wi-fi administrator know what website adress I surf ?
Answer: he could send your IP address (getting it from the gateway page) to your ISP (Internet service provider) asking them for a 'log' file of what the websites u surf .. or, he could use special software instead of bothering with the ISP and figure that out by himself.. but i'm not sure of the software name..
so, a short answer would be: Yes

i dont think the network admin would send you a virus on purpose, but if his PC is infected, its very likely that all the computers on a network get infected as well, just like when there's a virus on your C:\ drive it sometimes spreads to other partitions as well. so, use a good firewall and dont allow any software to open "UDP or TCP ports" automatically (these ports are usually opened in download and chatting software... sometimes in online games too)
