This is ridiculously good! It goes head-to-head with Draconian for album of the year so far.

2 listens done. nice atmospheres and songwriting.. First and last track are the best to me so far. I think I phased out for a bit in the middle tracks.. will revisit and see if that was just me or the songs got tedious.

Well, all I knew about Angellore is that it's a Tristania song, which is why it grabbed my attention (even though I haven't really listened to Tristania much). This seems like a softer version, and it's good. Some hints of Tiamat, too (e.g. vocals on second track). Need to listen more.

This is actually the first album from this band I've listened to and I find it great but it does take time to digest. It's beautifully melancholic and has a stunning dark enchanting atmospheric similar to Draconian except I find this far better than their latest release.

It takes a right mood to listen, but it's really so good...
Love "Black Sun River" - unlike the rest of the album, it's straight gothic and, unlike most "similar" gothic songs I've heard lately, this one is beautiful and definitely not boring.

Falling Birds is probably the one with the most "softer Widow's Weeds" vibes, but can't say I like it more than A Dormant Stream or the second half of Martyrium.

The dude vocals in "Black Sun River'" has huge Peter Steele vibes for me.

Overall it's true, but when Steele uses a deeper voice like in the end of Gravitational Constant or in Christian Woman the resemblance is striking to me.

A very atmospheric gothic metal sound. This album demonstrates a strong Romantic influence through the instruments that surround the metal. The vocals complement the overall sound beautifully, contributing to the theatrical atmosphere.
Yes, it's very reminiscent of Draconian, but it also incorporates elements of 90s gothic music like Moonspell and Cradle Of Filth.

People here are noticing similarities with Draconian, and sure, both bands could have some things similar, but I think Angellore goes for a different route not so dark but more melancholic and thoughtful.

Beautiful album made by those guys. I'll have to get deeper into their works.
