DragonForce is one of little crowd Power Metal bands that are really accepted around our Metal society, and that's a great achievement since they have only released one album.
And that they was the most downloaded band on Mp3.com after they added some songs there, can't be anything else than a evidence that there is something special with this band, something that other Power Metal bands don't have.

I honestly don't really like this album, although anything was better than Ultra Beatdown

To me every Dragonforce album has terrific songs and very average ones, but this album is the one has the most memorable riffs and solos for me. Ever since I first heard opener 'My Spirit will go on' it's been stuck in my head for the last five or so years. As a whole the album isn't THAT much better than the band's debut, but this one seems to have a more 'serious' approach.

Some solos are cool, there are interesting changes rarely and overall it's better than the debut and the following album but still, it's repetitve as hell.

This and Valley of the Damned are really good albums, not at all repetitive as people say. Above the Winter Moonlight is an amazing song.

DragonForce's best album. There are a lot of decent solos here, although I found it a bit monotonous and boring at times. For me, the highlights are My Spirit Will Go On, Fury Of The Storm, Dawn Over A New World and Soldiers Of The Wasteland; the rest of the tracks are ok.
