I be in Helsinki some day in end of july , anybody knows good metal releted place iun central Helsinki or harbor area
also good metal related bar (or hells angels club house adress 
)I dont know when exatly I be there, but last week of july and 1 day for shore, dunno how other day...than far far north till Tornea :p

I think Viikate have some of that ear-pleasing 60's surf rock "twang" guitar tone that used to be very popular in Finland even after it went out of fashion elsewhere. The bright and cold tone mixes extremely well with melancholic music.

I'm born and raised in Sweden, but everyone on my father's side of the family are Finnish, and moved here about 50 years ago. Always found I fit in better with my Finnish relatives than my Swedish ones, and think I'm pretty decent at Finnish as of later years, though I rarely get the chance to practise it properly these days. Viikate is one of my favourite bands since very long ago, I believe the accurate term for their style is rautalanka... Also for Finnish music I'm a big fan of CMX and (early) Kotiteollisuus.
