I'm just back...

Dew Scented from Northern Germany opened and played decent thrash metal. That was enjoyable.

Suicide Silence played next ... Wikipedia says it's deathcore .. it sounded like a tortured slaughterhouse. Basic ingredients were the extreme shrieks of the vocalist and some very vile bass tones that displaced my inner organs. Impressive, but not my thing.

As I Lay Dying ... played a nice gig and I enjoyed it .. but it wasn't as intense for me as on their albums. I thought it was a good crowd and they supported the band a lot. They still can book this gig as success.

Heaven Shall Burn rolled everything flat. Tremendous live band. The sound was good, too. I loved it.
