You'd think if an album was so difficult to release than they would at least give us an EP in lue of an album. Think Sonata Arctica. In any case, I hope they make do on their promises for the shows and finish mixing the album.

Seriously, they are the most overly dramatic metal band out there. the fucking backstreet boys were never this dramatic, and they're a fucking boy band.

The drama that surrounds Wintersun is only proof of their impact on the metal world. If you look at nearly any major musical phenomenon in the last sixty years you'd notice that they, too, received an overwhelming amount of criticism and everything ballooned into drama. The simple fact of the delay of Time is that Jari is a slow worker with underpowered recording equipment, and in due time (no fucking pun intended) the album will be completed and released. Great things have been said by the few people who have heard bits of it, so I expect nothing less than a masterpiece. The self-titled is such a complex record that I can still find new layers of sound buried in the mix when I pay enough attention. I'm sure "Time" will be equally brilliant. inb4 fanboy fag optimist etc.

I am very happy to see this "sign of life"/update from wintersun. Their music has been masterful and I can only hope that the eventual Time album will be half as good as Wintersun. I also will wait as long as it takes to hear the final word on when/if it is coming out. If I could only get to see them live...

I mean their debut [and obly] album is incredible; let's not get it mixed up...but it was released 6 years ago...I found out about them 2 years ago...I gave up waiting for news like a year ago...Time had better live up to expectations, could be looking at the new Children of Bodom :p

Oh, cool. It is nice to know that Wintersun are still at it. The album has been taking a longer time than most albums, but Wintersun can put in as much time as they want into it. I'm looking forward to hearing stuff from it. Cheers.

Well, meh, their music is average, nothing really to praise them as the second coming of the Christ... really, they aren't original or outstanding, it's just the bastard son of Ensiferum, c'mon, Ensiferum have released at least 3 freaking albums since 2004, Wintersun keeps saying that they will release their album one of this days. If they are going to release it should just do it! They should stop posting shit every time they want to say they are mixing and remixing and remixing and recording and stuff, again and again.

Its mostly a matter of opinion when it comes down to an album anyways. Honestly, I'm definitely anticipating the album just because I've been waiting on it for a while and Jari is a damn good guitar player. I also think the music is pretty cool. I've never really heard anything that has sounded quite like the self titled album either. I thought it was a pretty interesting album nevertheless. Waaay too much hate IMO. If people wanna suck Wintersun's dick all day, then let them do it. It doesn't effect me, and it shouldn't effect my opinion on the music.

While i will agree with you that they have had an impact on the metal world with their first album and the second one is being hyped to almost incomprehensible levels, i think the fact that Jari takes YEARS to get his shit together should not be mistaken for genius in the making. Yes, the first album was good, but it doesn't have any soul in its production, i mean you can barely hear any bass and everything sounds really thinly produced. It's good music, don't get me wrong, but i dont think its nearly what everyone cracks it up to be. and in their first press release detailing their first round of album troubles, Jari said that there are over 200 tracks per song (or 3 slayer albums). If he is trying to outdo this for "Time", he's going to end up fucking himself, cuz it's taken him this long to have an intro as the only fully complete "song". I honestly hope it's as good as you think it's gonna be, but i think it's still gonna be another soullessly produced album.

They should announce a 2-year long worldwide tour promoting the new album somewhere in 2013...That way, if the world ends in 2012, they wouldn't have to comply, and besides, Jari will (finally) have a viable excuse for not being able to finish the album - running out of Time, hahaha...

I honestly hope it's as good as you think it's gonna be, but i think it's still gonna be another soullessly produced album.

If a thing has its debut album, is soul, full of soul. I would say you, that you listen it better, in fact it happened to me the same thing to you in the first listening of the record (i mean about the production), but this record has much soul, listen in the background, cold background.

Whats more unbelievable to me than the album delays is the amount of people who waste their breath criticizing a band they don't even like---based on the delays. It's just rediculous. Does Wintersun's Time bother you that much?

Wintersun songs needs time, even the first album took 8 years. have faith in that skinny little lazy perfectionist
