Rather a nice album, PERFECT, except for "Warmness on the Soul".

There was maybe 4 songs on this album that I really got into, darkness surrounding, lips of deceit, streets and shattered of broken dreams. Overall a 7.5

Not bad for a debut, but some songs on here are pretty terrible. 'Turn the other way' is a complete and utter mess and both 'Darkness surrounding' and 'Forgotten faces' are plagued by drums being too high in the mix. Shadows' vocals aren't the worst I've heard, but his clean vocals and so much better than his harsh ones, even if they are still pretty weak. There are a few really well-written songs here, like the surprising piano-led 'Warmness on the soul' and the two heavier, more aggressive likes of 'We come out at night' and 'Breaking their hold'. I didn't expect much from this album before listening to it, and I guess I was kinda proved right.

Not sure blind hatred can be purely blamed for this. I quite like Turn The Other Way, Warmness of the Soul, and maybe We Come Out At Night, but this is a very raw and underdeveloped album. I hardly listen to A7X any more, but I used to love them, and even then I recognised that WTF was a massive jump ahead from this

This thing's actually pretty underrated. I'm surprised, but I like it.

Ehhh, no. It’s actually a modest effort. Warmness of the Soul, To End The Rapture, Turn the Other Way are classic Avenged songs. No reason to hate on an album just because of who they are. Be better.

These are my honest thoughts on the album, I'm not hating because of who they are, I think they even have some pretty decent stuff with city of evil and the stage but this specific release is really not something I enjoy

Gotta agree with the Monkey here, I mean, sure definitely not their best album but rating it a 2 is harsh as fuck.
Anyways... You do you.

Even after all these years of being a huge fan, I've never listened to this album. I very strongly dislike Waking the Fallen and I suppose seeing this one having a much lower rating made me think I shouldn't bother. (But then again, both Nightmare and the self-titled are rated lower than Waking The Fallen here, so maybe I will check it out)

If you don't like Waking The Fallen, I doubt you will like this, as it is also metalcore, albeit a lot more rough around the edges in terms of songwriting and production; I'm a big fan of Waking The Fallen (or at least I was 10-15 years ago, I don't find myself listening to A7X these days), but still struggle with a full listen of this album. I'd suggest trying Turn The Other Way (which I think is clearly the best song here), and if you don't like that I wouldn't bother going further
