Well when I see for the first time the cover back of this promotional CD, I must admit that I said to myself something like "What the hell, these guys dressed like a Black Metal bands, are doing on Metal Heaven?". To be honest I didn't know that Bloodbound was actually a pure Heavy Metal band and I'm still wondering what is the signification of this picture. But whatever anyway we just don't care of the appearances, we're only here to talk about music and with "Nosferatu", the first release of Bloodbound (Sweden), we will talk about great music.

From the height of 6 years all I can say this album is one of the missing gems in the crown of heavy/power metal. "Clone" comparisons killed interest unfortunately. Almost all reviewers said it's just "Iron Maiden"-type album. Not true. At least it's "The Best of Iron Maiden on Steroids" album. Even more closely - "Ultra-Melodic Modern NWOBH/Power Metal with Fabulous Songwriting and Divine Vocals" album.
Music is so emotional I have no enough words to describe all spectrum... Maybe heroic, majestic and perfect soundtrack for demolition of old Empires and creation of the new ones will be good)
Still when not in proper mood, you can easily think about it "another clone bla-bla-bla" and go on. So listen to "Behind the Moon", "Nosferatu", ""Metal Monster" or "On the Battlefield" when your soul siiiings or wants you to do something great. Then you will be rewarded.
But main point - don't miss it.

Good album. Doesn't deserve an 8.8 cause that means it's one of the best albums ever made. Maybe a 7.8... Fallen From Grace verses sound like Eagle Fly Free by Helloween...

This album seriously kicks ass. I don't like Iron Maiden at all (blaphemy! My Metalstorm account will be revoked!), but I love this one. Awesome, soaring vocals from Breed, excellent songwriting, tunes that'll stay in your head for days...they were firing on all cylinders for this one. Alas, things went downhill for Bloodbound after this album. But don't miss Nosferatu.

I've never heard a more repetative album in my life... It's like The Trooper over and over and over and over again. Not even Dragonforce managed to pull that level of repetativity! Lyrics are equally unimaginative and mainly have no point, just random heavy metal cliche motifs put together that everyone has heard before on every other heavy metal album. Its like saying a lot but really not saying anything.

Otherwise, it does sound "good" because I enjoy this kind of genre, but songwriting and arrangements are incredibly weak and predictable.

A weak attempt at mimicking Iron Maiden, really.

The only thing special about this album is the vocal performance of Urban Breed. Other than that, nothing special, just predictable heavy/power. It made me think of Iron maiden at times as well.

It's better than In the Name of Metal, that one is the weakest of what I heard from this band. I still need to listen to their last album and Book of the Dead.

Phenomenal performance from Urban Breed.
Makes me go back in time to my early teens when I was listening to happy power metal all days long.

This is killer level PM, better as I expected to be honest. Nosferatu, metal Monster, Midnight Sun, Into Battle Field are killer song what in 80's wouöd be mega hits. Decent level PM, what is metal not pop sound, this is not euro cheese, enjoyable riffs, melodies, songs.

A very consistent album, one of the best PM albums I've heard in a while!

9.0/10 for me - the first 3 tracks are the standouts. The last 3 are the weakest by a small amount, but all the others are great.
