Suffocation - Despise The Sun [EP]

AMAZING! totally awesome work! funeral inception, despise the sun and catatonia will be forever in the band's top list!

I didn't care for this album when I first heard it because of their change in sound. But, I still listen to it after about 4 years of owning the album, so yeah it is pretty good.

This is an earlier and more straight forward Suffocation sound but yet this EP shows that Suffocation do not need to be as technical as 'Pierced From Within' to write great songs.

Excellent production, especially regarding the vocals. It's a shame it's so short...

This is so good, my only complaint is it's too short!

It might be short but it's the band's best work to date, and some of the best brutal death ever made imo. The riffs, vocals, tone, and production is all outstanding!

I like it a lot, but it's a shame about the lack of guitar solos.

Pierced From Within will always be their strongest release for me.

Pierced From Within will always be their strongest release for me.

For me Pierced From Within, Effigy Of The Forgotten, and this EP are brutal death at it's highest caliber. It's a genre that's very hit and miss for me but Suffocation have always been one of my favorites.
