Second album from Adagio... And what a great one!!

This album, called Underworld, is a fantastic travel and well done mixture between Metal and Classical music. For sure, we know a lot of bands trying to mixed these two influences ; but here, I think it's the right music I was waiting for in secret...

Using classical influences like Bach, Bartok, Paganini, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky and some others combined with metal ones like Megadeth or Symphony x. It's very powerfull...

Probably my all-time favourite album. If you like Symphony X, I can guarantee that you'll love this. Very similar, but much, much darker. Also, Stephan Forté is at least as good at playing guitar as Romeo. He also wrote all the songs and lyrics if I remeber correctly... just unbelievable.

I've never noticed any similarity between Adagio and Symphony X to be honest. Especially on this album...it's like a progressive classical opera and the emphasis is WAY more keyboard oriented than Symphony X.

Wow... This album actually changed my perspective on music in general... I've heard plenty of symphonic stuff in metal, which I really enjoy, but never had I heard this level of technical and classically influenced piano in metal. And I must say that I really enjoyed it. The rest of the musicianship is great, but the piano stood out for me - very unorthodox and it made the album for me. I actually acquired a taste for classical piano music solely because of this album! 10/10 Great stuff.

Stephan Forté is at least as good at playing guitar as Romeo.

That's a pretty big claim!

As a Symphony X fan, I will have to check this out given the comments.
