I remember when I first heard this album. I had just gotten loads of new music on my PC, mainly power metal, and Falconer - Falconer was part of it. My expectations were up in the air, seen how highly I already though of the second Facloner album, Chapters From A Vale Forlorn (check my review here). I listened to it expecting some amazing guitar work and stark theatrical vocals. Fast, yet varied, drumming and catchy texts with deep meanings. A soundscape which would take me back a few hundred years ago, to the time when knights fought for honour and princesses, when the church and the kings ruled with an iron fist, when the farmers were fored to labor for their loders, when nature was still green and the sky still a clear blue. From the song "Mindtraveller" until "Lord Of The Blacksmiths" the album is specially awesome. "Mindtraveller" is simply god, and "Royal Galley" is pure love, outstanding =). The first two songs are very good too.

Listening to it again (new album coming), ans this album is amazing. Lyric, Epic, Fast, Folk and of course POWER. Great singer. Only reserve, the production.

I must admit I can listen to this as it's tolerable, especially for power metal. I guess some parts are still cheesy, but overall the vocals aren't bad at all. This is going on my list for sure, thanks to R'Vannith (he recommended this one, along with loads of other power metal albums).

Have found out about them only a couple of days ago. Wow, this is some pretty decent album. Have always believed my love for Power Metal has died forever back in the late 90s. But this one is pretty convincing. I mean it is full of cheese here and there, but it is just pretty well done. Highlights: hard to pick, can be spinned all the way through. Wings of serenity, Mindtraveller, Royal galley, Lord of the Blacksmiths probably stand out marginally, for me.

"Lord Of The Blacksmiths" is the highlight for me. Overall, the album is very solid and one main reason I think everyone should give it a try is due to its originality amongst power metal albums. The guitar playing and vocals are not like any other PM band. By this I don't mean that they are the best but just different which is a big plus for me.
