Last time that I reviewed Ensorcelor, they were a very fresh newcomer making their first, tentative steps in the world of blackened doom metal. The EP released last year, Urarctica Begins, made quite an impression on me. Its raw force satisfied me, especially the varied vocal performances by three band members. In retrospect, I might rate it about half a point lower, but I'm still impressed by its despondent, despairing atmosphere. Read more ›› |

Woho, this is much better than their EP, the riffs on the first track have a very evil sound (Wormphlegm style) and those vocals are awesome. I'll have to listen to the whole album though, there is only one track on YT. EDIT: I found the second track on YT too, I'll probably order the vinyl when I get my hands on some cash.

This is quite different from their EP, although I enjoy that one too. Maybe Ensorcelor should have brought out the drums a little more. I just ordered this vinyl from Psychic Assault, hope it arrives soon.
