Four years, we had to wait during four long years to finally have the luck to listen to the new album of the Teutonic masters of Power Metal, Gamma Ray. And I suppose that after such a long time of inactivity we could expect something really surprising and entertaining. Is it the case? Well not really, "Majestic" is an excellent album of Power Metal no doubt, but since 2001 and "Now World Order" we got a lot of others Power Metal releases? and now Gamma is not so surprising?

Obviously not as technically proficient or exciting as their previous releases, but there are still some good songs to be found on here! The cheese is here, but as always, it's delivered in a way that still rocks.

Definitelly the songs are pretty good, not all of them best Gamma Ray, but in overall very much enjoyable nonetheless. "My Temple", "Spiritual Dictator", "How Long" go on the do-not-skip-list, and the real killer material is found on "Fight", "Blood Religion" and "Condemned to Hell".

I'm lowering one score, mainly because I think the album's production hurts the listening experience. That aside, the album is pretty damn good.

I think this album contains one of gamma rays best songs ever: revelation. I absolutely love this song. Uptempo, awesome solos, cool lyrics, great choruses, energy level = max. I love it. The rest of this album is not as great as the albums that came before, but honestly my temple, fight, condemned to hell and majestic are all awesome too
