Definitely my favourite Satyricon album, having epics such as 'Woods of Eternity' and 'The King of the Shadowthrone'.

Amazing one, this is how their should sound like, true classic BM sound, ideas, nature, Norway, a bit evil not provocative way for todays values, I like it amazing album of angry young Norwegians.

Along with Nemesis Divina and Dark Medieval Times, the first three Satyricon albums are classics, but The Shadowthrone was their most raw and traditional sounding of the kvlt wave, the other two were much more folk influenced. I've never really showed too much interest in their later albums tbh.
