Metal Storm Awards is so last year. So, for those of you who balance on the bleeding edge of new releases, here's a suggestion to keep you on track and in check. The great stuff that is Crippled Black Phoenix is back with a new album. From depressing post rockish experimental atmosphere to Floydy tunes, they have it and they own it. So, you take your time to enjoy it.

Try it out!

I think it's too long, to be honest. But that's the problem with CBF's releases in general: too much filler. Still, when it works it works. Even proggier than before, barely any post-rock touches left. Definetely gone Pink Floyd, like Ivor mentioned. I recommend it, even if it gets a bit tedious.

It's both, their strength and their weakness. It's superbly perfect when you want to enjoy this atmosphere for a longer period than a short disc. If you want something concise, this is not probably it. So, in a way I agree with you.

Wow, this is some great stuff. Maybe a bit too long indeed (like the last song is too much), but the music is great. There all these Pink Floyd moments and bluesy songs + plus some hints to King Crimson and Depeche Mode. Great prog/post rock album. I support the recommendation, and double thumbs up to Ivor for sharing this one.

I liked this album so much that I've hesitated listening to this new release for fear of being disappointed.
