While not the biggest purveyor of great metal bands, Spain apparently has some hidden gems here and there, and this is one of them. Great, pulverizing riffs, surprising tempo changes and overall coolness of this band shouldn't go unnoticed.
If you're into either doom or death, you should enjoy Onirophagus.

I felt very disjointed while listening to this, as if something was missing from the equation. It's an enjoyable release for what it is but there's just something about it... maybe the lack of innovation and stagnant vibe? It tends to wander in a straight line without doing much of anything but if you enjoy the path it travels then you'll likely find this to be one of the best of the year in its genre.

If you expect to be flabbergasted by a spark of invention every time you listen to a new album, you will be disappointed about 99% of the time This is simply a well done album that flows very well and satisfies the need to hear good music. Nothing less, nothing more.

I never expect anything in terms of innovation but I do feel disappointed when I can predict how each song is going to begin/end based on the first two tracks. This album does a good job at staying the course and definitely has an old-school feel to it that a lot of people will dig if not only for that reason, but for me it's just not enticing. Albums like this would work better for me as EPs as opposed to full-lengths, as a lengthier release loses its staying power with too much similarity between songs.
