Syrian heavy metallers The Hourglass have just released their new single "Play The Pawn", which is a duet between the two legendary voices of Savatage Jon Oliva & Zak Stevens. Listen to it below.

Guitarist Rawad Abdel Massih commented: "The vocal parts of Zak were supposed to be sang by Bassem our great vocalist , but Zak was very supportive in doing us this great favor to have a part in the project so we thought it will be great to do a Jon and Zak duet, and Bassem was very humble regarding this thing because we all know that this will be great for the band and it will be a great moment we won't forget in our lives. Many extra thanks for the Mountain King Jon Oliva and the great voice of Zak Stevens for this, and the great special thanks for Sharbel Kanoun our manager and Chris Kinder Jon Oliva's Pain's drummer for doing all the work necessary for this to happen."

Rawad Abdel Massih took care of the music, lyrics and production. "Play The Pawn" was recorded, mixed and mastered by Omar Harb at NextTone Studio in Damascus, Syria.
