Estatic Fear - Somnium Obmutum

Really amazing album, simply cannot stop listening to "Somnium Obmutum" lately in particular, what a song.

After 20 years is still very difficult to find an album with same intensisty and atmospheres. Thank you Calix!

Aaaahhhh! Very overlooked, this album. It is perfect, in my ears -- from beginning to end. It has so many turning points, never gets boring.
Exactly, also hard for me to find sth comparable these days.
This album has kept its place in my Top 5 all-time fav since that day in 1996 when I picked it up.
Their second album is also a hightlight but it doesnt compare to SO at all.
Too bad we didnt get to enjoy more albums by these Austrian guys.

Thanks to this masterpiece i started appreciating symphonic music more, and now I am listening to other genres too, like neo folk or neo classical which I adore.

Also I created this account just to rate this album here and display my signature with pride.

Congratulations, you definitely discovered a masterpiece.
For me it is among the most remarkable opuses in the entire wide spectrum of Metal that I listen to, if not my single most worshipped album of all time.

How can ignore such death/doom classic, its one of those what all know, all have and all will remember , yuou dont forgoit such classic. Grunts, death/doom riffs, female guest vocal parts, marnful melodies , calmer melodies all mix and made in 90's , period of time what mattered, those who lived, will remember

I am not so sure that everybody knows this, owns a copy of it and will always remember it (if I understood correctly).
I rather consider it pretty overlooked.

I was born 85. Well Yes, but still i remember How all was before i net whit tape trading and How hard was get music and its value. I bought this album from friends friend in 98 few days about Zidane head job against yellow ones. But i apriciate ir in 00 01

I'm really liking this style of gothic/doom (I'm somehow reminded of my instant affinity for Virgin Black's debut).

Great! I see it is in your Currently Listening... list. Keep on digging it, it is worth it.

I forgot about this album for many years until recently and realized once again what a masterpiece this is.

One of the most unique albums I ever heard. The way they incorperated the classical parts is just brilliant and epic.

It's even better than A Sombre Dance (not by much), although I used to think it's the other way around.
