The first thing I said when I first bought and heard this album was "Oh My God" this album is totally incredible, Clever grindcore with magnificent lyrics, superb guitar riffs, wonderful drumming, clean production, a great cover (made by Paul Booth the tattoo artist), and o concept that most grindcore bands would like to have. I passed out for two days after celebrating the 20th anniverssary of this modern classic of the genre. Prowler In The Yard is, simply put, what most modern grindcore bands aspire to be. By the time of its release, Pig Destroyer where only trio with only two instruments at their disposal. But they still outclassed most bands in every aspect of the game. Genuinely unsettling vocals and lyrics, a near infinite amount of innovative riffs, and intense drumming that truly cemented their frightening sound. Prowler In The Yard's atmosphere is so caustic that no amount of hot showers will make it go away.

This is a thoroughly nasty piece of work, and believe me, in this case, that is intended as a huge compliment! This album does a wonderful job of creating a terrifying and genuinely unsettling atmosphere, which is very difficult to pull off. The first time I listened to the album, I felt like I needed to take a shower afterwards, so caustic was the atmosphere generated by what I had just listened to!  Definitely one of extreme metal's classic albums.

Oh boy this is one solid grindcore release, with such a phenomenal guitar tone, and crazy ass songstructures, 22 bloody songs played at such high intensity in little over half an hour. I think this might actually be my favourite album of theirs. "Starbelly", "Piss Angel" and "Preacher Crawling" are my favourite tracks, although it's hard to really pick because every song is so short and all flow into each other brilliantly.

One of their mot complex songs on the album. I can't imagine how Scott Hull remembers all those riffs and progressions. - "Snuff Film At Eleven" Love how it follows the previous track so nicely with the drums and vicious vocals. - And then the ending with Starbelly + Junkyard God + Piss Angel. It's just grindcore perfection. Urgh.
