Another good Down album, but I personally don't think it's as effective as the band's first album. Nonetheless, there are still some classic cuts here, namely "Landing on the Mountains of Megiddo" and the brilliant "New Orleans is a dying whore". Other songs here are mostly filler material for me, particularly the two short sub-2 minute instrumentals.

Seems you need born in swamps to understand such music. In middle of album they had some kind sludge ballads something? Well seems folks in a swamps follow old blues, play guitar all day longh and watch gator eats alive kkk leadership. There has something here but listen such genre all day long hmmmm

This is my favorite Down album. It showcases all their influences on one record. NOLA is the fan favorite, killer record, but I feel Down II is more diverse. Love the swampy blues influence.
