Greetingz,
I don't know if any of you guys who have read The Da Vinci Code: paperback edition have noticed these strange things, after doing a little search on the internet I found out what these anagrams possibly mean these words appear on the top of each page in the place where either DAN BROWN should have been or THE DA VINCI CODE:

Page 55 - THE ANKH FENDILE CODE - ANKH FENDILE = KNIFE HANDLE

Page 89 - THE DE LANCS CODE - DE LANCS = CANDLES

Page 128 - DAS BRILLI - DAS BRILLI = BILLIARDS

Page 131 - THE LA SUFRETE CODE - LA SUFRETE = TRUE FALS

Page 155 - SOS - instead of page number

Page 178 - REON TIGALDO = GOLDEN RATIO

Page 199 - THE DE YSOSY CODE - DE YSOSY = ODYSSEY

Page 242 - MER REVE = VERMEER (Jonathan Vermeer)

Page 322 - *** - instead of page number

does anybody have any idea what these are or to what do they refer ?
PLEASE HELP

P.S.: I'm not sure about the anagrams, I found them on an internet page (nothing official)....

Page 242 - MER REVE = VERMEER (Jonathan Vermeer)

I know you got this of the net... but who the bleep is Jonathan Vermeer. I guess Vermeer refers to the Dutch painter Vermeer but his first name was Johannes.

Well, I really do think that Dan Brown created those just of the sake of sounding mystic and all that. As i've seen a documentary about the whole Da Vinci / Prieuré de Sion's "scandal" and Dan Brown is affirming that he is saying the truth and dramatising over all this.
Just useless anagrams I say

@Ozman: Well your right about VERMEER I got it from the net as is all the other anagrams,

I really don't think that they are useless anagrams, there has to be something in them but I just cant get my finger on it
maybe it has something to do with his other novel Angels and Demons

I'm with ylside on this one.
It kind of seems like random crap that is supposed to tell the reader there's something deeper about the book. At least don't expect anything more from a book about half-arsed theory like that.
