Following the announcement of a new album, the US experimental act Pyramids have now revealed the tracklist for their upcoming sophomore record A Northern Meadow, which is set for a release date of March 17th, 2015 through Profound Lore Records. The band have also unveiled a new single for one of these tracks entitled "I Am So Sorry, Goodbye". Since it will be hard to find, don't waste your chance of listening to it now here. What's your verdict on the song?

The label describes the new offering as: "A Northern Meadow sees Pyramids deliver their most stunning and crafted work yet. By taking reference points from genres such as ambient and experimental music, shoegaze (the band once collaborated with Cocteau Twins bass player Simon Raymonde at one point), black metal, and industrial music, A Northen Meadow results in being an encompassing album that stretches the Pyramids sound even further into something even more grand and massive through an overwhelming sound picture heavy in atmosphere and ambience."

You can also count on a few guest appearances, including: Vindsval of Blut Aus Nord, Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice) and William Fowler Collins.

Tracklist:
01. In Perfect Stillness, I've Only Found Sorrow
02. The Earth Melts Into Red Gashes Like The Mouths Of Whales
03. The Substance Of Grief Is Not Imaginary
04. Indigo Birds
05. I Have Four Sons, All Named For Men We Lost To War
06. I Am So Sorry, Goodbye
07. My Father, Tall As Goliath
08. Consilience

First sentence: "esperimental" should be experimental.
This track is brilliant and now I'm shaking in anticipation for the full thing

I'm sorry I moaned about the album art. The single is great. Like dreamgaze meets Cave In meets Blut aus Nord.

I haven't heard the debut yet. I recall listening to the first few tracks for a bit and being deterred by it.

This is indeed spectacular, though. I will have to revisit the debut as well!

Pretty much the same as me. I've actually just gone back and whilst I'm still not fully on board with it, it's better than I remembered, so it's probably worth revisiting. And agreed, this song is excellent.
