Lamb Of God - Premiere New Track

Lamb Of God have just premiered a brand new track! The American metallers are showcasing a song from their new album VII: Sturm Und Drang, more specifically "512". The song lyrics are about Blythe's experience in a prison in the Czech Republic, where he had been charged with manslaughter for allegedly pushing a fan offstage and causing injuries that led to the fan's death. The vocalist was eventually found not guilty, but still spent over a month incarcerated. It was during that time that he began writing "512" - in Pankrác Prison cell number 512. You can hear the track below.

VII: Sturm Und Drang will be available worldwide on July 24th.

Tracklist:
01. Still Echoes
02. Erase This
03. 512
04. Embers
05. Footprints
06. Overlord
07. Anthropoid
08. Engage The Fear Machine
09. Delusion Pandemic
10. Torches

Total opposite reaction from me. Found the lyrics a bit over the top and the whole song just felt like a leftover from Sacrament. I much preferred the previous song.

It does sound inspired, but it also sounds painfully generic. That recurring descending melodic chord progression (see @3:45), that right there is text book mainstream contamination of a band's music - musical fodder for the masses. Don't mean to sound elitist, but "the band just got too big man".

Great groove. I love this song. I really just dig LOG's style. They are and will always be my second coming of Pantera. This is my opinion. They are currently the best groove metal band on the planet and have been for over a decade.

Great track. Loved it.

What it really connects with this track is technical part. The way they carry out the technical part with flow of the song is swift and mesmerizing.

High hope for new record.
