Decent start for Primal Fear, but honestly I don't think that the band had reached nowhere near to their maximum song writing capabilities when this album was composed. Sure, you can hear a lot of similarities here to the following albums, that would showcase some amazing heavy metal, but for this S/T album the amazingness only applies to "Tears Of Rage". I guess you could also mention the fan favorite "Chainbreaker" here, but I don't think that that song is anything more than a good generic heavy metal song, and that will become even more evident after hearing the following PF albums.

Decent metal opener, whit this heavy weights, good german HM machine whit solid line up and musicians. Good amazing band and like some says singer and song writers all are what makes band, an Ralf is good one. All songs stands out here, simply all!!! amazing

Quite many fillers and some of the more profilic tracks are not in my taste (Chainbreaker, Running in the Dust) but the album is still somewhat enjoyable. Silver And Gold, Battalions of Hate, Tears of Rage and Forumla One are all nice. They would get better but they would also release worse albums.

not a cover band at all, now if you wanted to sound cool, you could have used the word "pastiche".

Why is this album worth a listen? Answer: "Battalions Of Hate", "Running In The Dust", "Tears Of Rage" and to a lesser extent "Chainbreaker".
