Vredehammer - Violator

Anyone else get a strong Lamb of God vibe from this one?

Yup on some songs but man this album kills! vredehammer are really becoming something special

Maybe vaguely from the the vocal style, otherwise no. Unless LoG play blasting thrashy death metal, which I'm pretty sure they don't. (not sure where the "black" element comes into this band, I don't hear any on this album).

Not bad though, this. Seems to be a band waaay more popular outside the MS bubble.

Yeah, it was mostly the vocals, but also certain riffs. But then there are the few tracks that have a more Viking feel. It's a nice mixture.

What a great album and band! They'd deserve way more attention.

I agree. I bought this album a week ago. Can't stop listening to it. Amazing!

This album gets old fast. I started looking at the clock about halfway through it. I definitely prefer their newer record.

Picked up this on CD secondhand at a fest, it's so fucking good. I heard it back in 2016 also but damn, this shit goes hard in the car.
