Songs are actually pretty decent, I won't call it amazing, but since we are dealing with Thor IMO it's safe to say this is good stuff in their discography. Although, when listening to this album it's hard NOT to think the phrase: Other bands (Thor) play, [early] Manowar kill. So while this album is alright, IMO it cannot compete with early Manowar in any aspect.

I had Thor’s Live in Detroit on repeat for a while back in 1987/8 and most of the tracks come from this and “Keep the Dogs Away”. It’s a surprisingly well produced live album and an excellent introduction to Thor. As the other review says, don’t expect Manowar, but all worth checking out as a decent fantasy themed rock / metal outfit that most people would have overlooked.
