Deströyer 666 - Frontman Picks Fight With Fans At Metal Magic Fest

The 2016 edition of Denmark's Metal Magic Festival this past Saturday, July 9th, didn't end well and things got a little weird. Metalized Magazine reports that Australia's extreme metallers Deströyer 666 spent much of their set time fighting with the audience. Guitarist/vocalist K.K. has now apologized for the incident via Facebook and says he was drunk and it's all part of Rock and Roll.

Frontman K.K.began the show by shouting "Fuck you!" at the audience. He then proceeded to mock the Danish men who descended from Vikings saying something to the affect of "I live in a matriarchal culture. I feel sick of you."

The inciting got to such a point that a fan actually got up on stage and offered to fight K.K. Security escorted the fan off the stage quickly, and the rest of the band tried to calm Warslut down. When Warslut gets the mic again he says "I will fight. I don't care who it's with. I just want to fight."

Apparently, Warslut then got into it with a man wearing an antifa-mask. Antifa is short for anti-fascism. Warslut then insisted the man be thrown out and even dropped his guitar and offered to fight until band members and roadies calmed him down.

Shortly after, a fan threw a beer at Warslut, which he was not happy about and he called the crowd "pussies." One fan kept trying to hop on stage so often that he had to be ejected from the building. As the show concluded, Warslut told the audience "I cannot express how much I hate you," followed by "No, that's not true. I love you."

K.K. explained: "Danish friends, if you were offended by my rant at MM I get it. Obviously I was drunk but it's only rock n roll right? In the great old tradition of confrontation and antagonism where would we be if every show was the same old tired routine. It's a fine line to walk and sometimes we cross over into reckless territory a rock n roll show should not be a safe space... The world keeps on turning, for now. "

I didn't know that being rock 'n' roll means being an asshole. Warpussy doesn't feel no remorse, otherwise he would not justify his prepubescent behavior. Some people need to fucking grow up and beheave like real adults for once. There is no excuse for insulting your fans that payed to be there. I feel bad for this band as it has high quality material, but the respect is gone.

That's why outsiders think metal is for idiots. Nice display of maturity here.

I'm sure this will be on the BBC or CNN to reassure those "outsiders" that metal is for idiots.

Haha, zing! I just find it funny that people are angry at KK when he did nothing but speak from his drunk ass mouth. It's the two fans that should be condemned, one for getting on stage, and the other for throwing a beer can at KK.

Personally I find it quite funny being insulted by a band. As long as the music is still played they can insult me or any member of my family.

Well, true. Besides that, it's strange that the "press" would be taken aghast that people are drunk at a metal concert, especially a band member who's out there playing music and to have fun. I mean, if it's the anti-fascist guy getting offended at a metal show, more power to KK for quite literally laughing him off the stage.

Well, Antifa is a fucking joke (and this comes from a solid leftist). I don't approve of being drunk on stage if youa re going to play. It's kind of unprofessional if you ask me BUUUT i I'm not gonna condemn it either. I don't care that much.

If it was Manson, Slipknot or BMTH doing that, I'm pretty sure the reaction would be different, but It's not lame when a guy from an extreme Metal band do it. Talk about double standard.

According to this every fan that jumped on stage to fight them got led away by security. Sorry but its sounds like they were being a bunch of pussies. Don't act like a tough guy when you're hiding behind security.

Not sure if you've been to many shows but when someone in the crowd jumps on stage with other intentions than to stage dive (and sometimes, not even that), they get handled by security. That's what they get hired by the venue to do.

"One fan kept trying to hop on stage so often that he had to be ejected from the building."
Not really true... the guy is a danish music critic, he was just headbanging and having a good time, when out of nowhere a roadie grabs him by his throat, immediately the security separates them, and the danish music critic are thrown out of the building..
It was a really weird concert.. KK was just a drunk idiot througout the whole show..

There was no 'Antifa' mask. The guy was wearing the hood from his hooded sweater. KK was just coked out of his mind and looking for any excuse to piss people off. Move along people.

As an epilogue to this, I went to see him in the US after this. KK did the same thing that I'm guessing he did to them (called us pussies/fags/assholes, flipped us off, etc.). We took it in good spirit and gave it back to him. He loved it and played his heart out. It was one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time, even with the guitar issues during the last song.
