Blazon Stone - New Album Update
After saying the band was on hold, Blazon Stone'a mastermind Ced has posted several updates on the band's new album.
He said: "Lead vocals are finished. If anybody wonders, Erik Forsberg (Down In The Dark/War Of The Roses) has been hired to record studio vocals once more. He's a fantastic vocalist, but he's not back in the back for real. We don't need to go into details about why. I keep looking for somebody who can vigorously front Blazon Stone in the future.
"Today I will put fresh strings on the bass and record all songs. Next couple of days/weeks I will spend on recording drums. That does NOT mean I will change my live position to play drums live. Blazon Stone needs a high-grade drummer to play live. I can handle drums in my own studio where I can do as many takes as I want per song, but I don't practice drums enough to be proficient enough for live shows, I have too high demands for that. I keep looking for a suitable drummer..-
"I previously mentioned 'album and EP' but after revaluating all the songs, some of them just wasn't good enough so I scrapped them, and instead merged all the remaining material into a longer album, possibly the longest Blazon album so far! So personally I think it's a good decision. This goes for the 'Greece handout', I will handout the album. So please don't ask 'but if you make another EP in the future, will I get that?' no, that will not happen. This is not a 'cheap out' decision, it's a decision to make sure you get the best possible songs I can give at the moment. No point in cranking out all songs I can when I noticed some just doesn't cut it, right?
"I will announce it when it's available. The recordings aren't even finished yet, so hold your horses!"
"All my solos for upcoming Blazon Stone album finished! This is first time having another guitarist on a Blazon Stone album, shred master Emil Westin Skogh (you know him from Rocka Rollas) will record some solos too!"
