Five years after the critically acclaimed The Dreaming I, Akhlys return with their third album, entitled Melinoë. It is named after the Orphic Goddess that can also be seen on the cover artwork and will be released on December 14th via Debemur Morti Productions. The new track "Pnigalion" is now available for streaming below.




In the words of the band's prime architect Naas Alcameth: "From the gates of slumber, where succubi perch betwixt wakefulness and dream, to the dark lands beyond, where nightmare daemons and the gods of terror preside, Melinoë serves as noctuary, hymnal and sojourn."

Melinoë was crafted as a trio - Alcameth (vocals, guitars, bass, keys, lyrics), Eoghan (drums) and Chthonia (backing vocals) - while Alcameth is the sole person responsible for the composition of the songs and the lyrics. Recorded at the Promethean Forge Studios in early 2020, the album was later produced, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation) at Flatine Audio with the help of Charlie Abend. Denis Forkas Kostromitin (Behemoth, Wolves In The Throne Room) is responsible for the cover artwork and the layout of Melinoë was handled by Kontamination Design (Archgoat).
