Asphodelus have recently announced the departure of bassist Jussi Väyrynen and guitarist Joonas Rantala. They gave a good contribution to the band throughout the years but found themselves wanting to go separate ways going forward. To replace them, Finnish death doomers introduce Nicholas Pawsey (bass) and Tuure Suomalainen (guitars, backing vocals). Thus a new kind of lineup is born: one fully focused on the present and the task at hand - that being the recording of the next album. Asphodelus will enter the studio in the fall of 2025.
