Grenouer is not a newcomer; actually this Russian band has played Metal since 1992 with their first demo "Death Of A Bite" in 1993. Unfortunately I don't know their old albums, I'm discovering them, like some of you. With this new EP "Try" that is a good mean to wait their new album that will be released at the beginning of 2006. With really powerful Death that flirts with Indus sometime, I really believe that they could become now one of the new revolutions from Russia.

This is always a problem when it comes to the bands that come from Russia. There are a lot of great bands from this country but honestly do you know al lot of them? Not me and that's a shame because we have a lot of great things there. As an example, Grenouer started to play Metal in 1992. They have a lot of albums and they're not so famous? When I listen to "Try," their new EP, I'm sorry but I think that it is a shame, this band deserves some success.

There are only 3 songs on this EP, but it's really promising for the upcoming album of the band. Grenouer plays an effective Death Metal with some touches of Indus music and in addition of the good catchy guitars riffs, we can also find some electro beats here and there. It gives punch to the music. This is only an EP with only 10 mins of music but I have high hopes for the future of the band. Above all, their music is really effective and catchy, it doesn't lack of aggressiveness and the voice of the singer is good too. This is maybe not really technical but at least all the songs are powerful.

"Try" is a nice EP, that will I hope give the luck to Grenouer to win some recognition out of Russia. The band deserves it and I'm sure that it could work this time. Now I'm waiting for the new album of the band that will come next year and maybe that we could have a really good surprise. Let's keep an eye on this Russian combo?
