"Menses Exorcism" is, whithout a doubt, their best work to date; this album shows a more solid band with a defined grace, their music will sound quite simplistic to the purists out there, and I'm sure their "I don't give a fuck!" attitude makes people throw their stomach out (they have bloody tampons on their cover for crying out loud!) but this Czech sickos demonstrate that Pornogrind can be played in a very interesting and cool way.
We've heard bands like Semen, Gronibard and Libido Airbag, they all suck when you compare their sound with Isacaarum; this band truly throws Pornogrind into a more bludgeoning level, they have all those things the aforementioned bands deliver, they have super-catchy riffs, sex powered lyrics and repetitive drumming...but Isacaarum bursts all those elements and liquefy them to pour the mix into a bloody bowl greased with tight execution and one of the most crushing vocalists in the scene. I always say, "they might have what it takes...but still they don't have Chymus!"
Seriously, this guy gives the whole album a very creepy feeling, he coughs his lungs out and lubricates his throat with blood; in a more serious stand, Chymus must be one of the most versatile vocalists in the Pornogrind scene, he has more tones than Celine Dion dudes seriously (that's maybe saying a lot but still). Anyway, usually I don't dedicate a whole paragraph to talk about one "instrument", but this guy is insanely worthwhile believe me.
The impressive layout is just the beginning of this hellish experience, I'm not crazy about homosexual blow jobs or anything (dudes, straight rapes are way better) but I guess it works to make readers feel sick or something. In the end, the whole package is a very enjoyable experience, each track sounds partially the same as the previous one, but believe me, this time it's not a bad feature, it's weird to explain...you'll have to hear this yourself. So, if you're into Grind check this out now.
