Nedra is not a bad band; their songs are all ok if and only if you like the old school French Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. If you're into this music I can tell you with a lot of honesty that you'll like this album. We have good melodies, rock n roll riffs, some good guitar soli and of course some engaged lyrics in French. In the style that's more than ok but even if I'm really open minded and like some bands like Manigance, I regret that Nedra sounds so old? I mean that the band probably wants to plays old school music but wow damn sometime it's so old that it can be cheesy and even a bit laughable. It's Hard Rock ok but nowadays some bands like Pure Inc from Switzerland proves that it can be modern, "D' Un Extrême A L' Autre" is not like that. French Hard Rock is not like red wine, time doesn't help it?
The production of this album is also a bit average. Sometime the instruments are not really well mixed and even if we cannot blame the performance of the musicians, this album is too simple, too out of date to be convincing. This is something for the fans of old school French music, so guys be prepared and try to listen to the album before that you buy it.
"D' Un Extrême A L' Autre" is a good album of French Hard rock but this music is definitely too cheesy to clearly work now. That's a bit sad but true I think that it was just another period in time and the people will not find any interest in such releases now. Let's hope that Nedra will find the way to add something a bit more modern in their future releases?
