Cant believe this album has a 7.8...really? its musically much more interesting then the previous one and it was a 8.2 WTF is wrong with you people...this album is great just needs some 3 or 4 listenings to get into it...cmon
well, in your case it seems almost everything is a 9 or 10. perhaps other people are rating on a more realistic scale?

some people don't understand that 7.8 is a good rating. It's close to 8 which means "very good".

I just rate what i really like its easy...if i like it all by the same level i put the same number...why do i need to justify my ratings to you?

because you are calling into question the rating of the album, and thus the ratings of overs. this, in turn, draws attention to how you score albums.
your "9" might simply be "8" to most other users, and somewhere between good and average to folks like me.

why do you consider yourself the reason in all this...are you saying what? that the previous album is better then this one....cmon give me your reasons...i want opinions not some cheat talk about who is the best guy in ratings...the rating system is an opinion i like this one i like that one...i like thirteen more then endgame its more solid work..but i like the two...me ratings aren't so badi think...i rate 10 the ones that keep me playing the whole album for weeks, 9 the ones that i can hear for a week or two in a row,8 the one week. etc etc thats how i do things you r not satisfied whit that your problem

You are talking to the wrong guy. i haven't been impressed by a megadeth album since i raced to the store to get Countdown To Extinction... and was as disappointed as i was by the black album. boring and dumbed down.
i've given his releases of the 00's listens through, and while full of solos and whatnot, just seem a pale, boring comparison to what the band used to be. i haven't spun them 3-4 or more times because they don't stir any emotions in me that make me want to listen again and again. and it's not deep/complex stuff that needs a dozen listens to be "unlocked", either.
i have my nice big playlists for genre by year and compared to the other various 2011 thrash releases spotify has on file, it's perhaps the least impressive of the bunch, depending upon what songs comes up and what song off the latest Anthrax has come up most recently. as much as i prefer 80s thrash to current re-hash, the youngsters kicked the tar out of the forefathers this year.
i guess megadave is a lot like star wars... their 80's stuff is like the original flicks, the 90's stuff is like the fancy remakes that dumb down the originals and try to cash in more $$, and the 2000 on releases are like the prequels. lots of flash, but just don't have the grit that the originals did.

sorry you missed the point on the comparison, the new bit was a joke... however liking the Star Wars prequels, well, there is no help for you. much like anyone who thinks current megadave is as good as 80s megadave.

Well I don't like new megadeth is better than the 80's megadeth but that doesn't justify to say people 'suck' for thinking otherwise, same for Star Wars, thats just a matter of opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I got the joke, and it's actually a very good comparison. The old movies had the storyline and all that jazz, now the new ones just have fancy animation and not a very good storyline. The same could be said for Megadeth, The old albums have the story line, which makes them enjoyable to listen too, and the new ones just have fancy solos, and a bad storyline.

Ok im gonna try and be realistic here and give my true feelings of Th1rt3en.
Lyrics: i give them about a 7, its the normal Mustaine style of lyrics which i am drawn. 7.
Guitar: some songs have a melodic feel to them, and some have a straight forward, so i give it about a 7.3 just because they mix it up a little and i like it
Bass: i personaly like Jr. (david Ellefson) bass style. it give a thought out feel to it so i give it a 7.5
Drums: ok personaly i felt the drums were trying too hard, but they still had a kind of good grove to them. so 6.9
Production: over all i liked it, all of the songs i felt were pretty good, except one song " New World Order" i personaly think the guitar dose not even follow the vocals, and well the whole song is just really hard to listen to.
ok in this order is how i like each song. The rating in my oppinion is 1 is the worst, 5 is, its ok not great or bad, 10 its really good.
1. "Sudden Death" : 8
2. "Public Enemy No. 1" : 9
3. "Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)" : 7.5
4. "We the People" : 7
5. "Guns, Drugs, & Money" : 6.5
6. "Never Dead" : 8
7. "New World Order" : 2
8. "Fast Lane" : 6
9. "Black Swan" : 9.5
10. "Wrecker" : 7
11. "Millennium of the Blind" : 8.2
12. "Deadly Nightshade" : 8.5
13. "13" : 9
over all i Really do like this album, and i put my rating of this album as 8. because i believe their are more good songs then bad songs on the album, My personal top five favorite songs on this album are in this order:
1. Black Swan
2. Public Enemy No. 1
3. 13
4. Deadly Nightshade
5. Millennium of the Blind.
I know may of you will not agree with me on this album. but my rating still stand.

Previous album was more thrash metal and very good. This one is more heavy than thrash but still good one. You may agree or not but after all Megadeth still releases better albums than many others in thrash genre and that's the fact.:banger:

I love megadeth. First metal band I truly got into...this album is a perfect stylistic compilation of their entire discography. For some reason, I prefer the demo version of New World Order to the completed one on this album.

I've always been very unimpressed with Shawn Drover's drumming in Megadeth. It's workmanlike, and solid. But compared with Nick Menza and Gar Samuelson, I find his drum work to be very dull.

Drover is as dull a drummer as they come. In that respect he is like his brother Glen the guitarist.

Glen Drover is not as dull a guitarist as Shawn is a drummer, but he's not much to write home about either... Compared to Marty Friedman and Chris Poland, he's a bit non-descript really. Al Pitrelli is probably the weakest guitarist Megadeth have ever had though.

Nothing else that Shawn Drover has done has made an impression on me but the sweet bass-drum work on "Black Swan" certainly floated my boat. I thought Nick Menza was brilliant and his time with the band coincided with their premier album releases.
