life basically is a test with the finish all leading up to the same conclusion death. sometimes it may vary(depending on what religion you are or if your not religious im personally a christian)

This is pretty hard to answer. I dont think anyway knows the meaning of life and i dont think anyone ever will.
I dont think there is any meaning to life either. Its just one of these things. Everyone lives and everyone dies. Im not sure how to explain any of this as it is really hard.

I too think that there is no true meaning to life, I am an atheist so I do not think that there is an after life or any reward for what you do in your life, I live for myself and my people and for them I will die, the meaning of life is you want it to be

I don't like this question. It's not specific. Is it implying that another being created us with an intention and asking what he/she/its intention was or asking each of us what we personally live for? Since I don't believe in god I'm going with the latter.

I do not imply such a thing, I do not ask what is the intention for us, but what do you think is your meaning of life, and you said it is happiness.
I don't think everyone lives for happiness, I don't anyway, and if everyone did live for happiness there were no wars in the world don't you think?

My meaning is to stick to what i know is important to me and not letting the outside world or other people influence my decisions. Sticking to your values is important, because its the difference between you giving a meaning to life or life giving a meaning to you.

i personally don't look for a divine absolute meaning for it Cos there is no, but ONE of the things i wanna do with my life is causing or inspiring huge reformations/changes around me.....

The meaning of life to me is just trying to make things fun. Live life as if you were going to die tommorow. Thats kinda how I am.

unfortunately for our generation its not the same

I feel that the meaning to life is life it's self. Why are we alive, to live. but everyones answer so far is right and wrong, as is mine. It is right and wrong. The true meaning of life is so hard to understand and find a true answer. that we already have. We just ponder about it so much that we tend to over think it. And the one true answer will never be found, for the simple reason that everyone has their own opinion on everything and not everyone in the world will agree on one thing. We all have our own personal vendetta and beliefs, and we tend to not think past what we presive as the correct answer, and we will always argue with one another trying to find the correct answer. this subject also has so many answers to it that it tends to get tenacious, and very argumentative. so in short, the meaning in life is as you precive it.

The meaning of life on the general end is basically about growth of the self.the being within. It's why life throws what it does at the individual. How you grow is also up to you. The entire deal basically comes to the level of being what you do vs. what you could do in order to attain growth. This is just the pattern frame for it all.

Ultimately that's the only aspect of a meaning to life you really put together for everyone. Since we are all individuals the meaning of life is personalized. Only you have the perceptions you do, only you have the understandings you do, only you have the life you do. In essence the entire deal really comes out to be personal as a meaning more than anything " general construct " can give. Without an individual meaning nothing really comes to mean anything. SO all in all , there's no "one meaninig" but instead there's the "one meaning for the individual".

Everyone has his own meaning of life. For someone can be his... cat. For someone else his studies and his girlfriend.

Generally whatever makes us happy (not only to enjoying it) can be included in our "meaning of life"...

I am an Estonian college student in California. I fell in love with a quiet girl who I was assigned group work with. I hadn't even noticed her before, but when we met, it just happened instantly. But since I never had a girlfriend before, and my father is a lonely tree hugger, I had no idea what to do. Not doing anything seemed to be even worse. I had her phone number and MSN, so we had means of communication. I tried to tell her, and she understood. Then there's been a lot of things happening, and it's all too messy to make anything out of it. Our last class together is coming up, and I feel like I have no reason to wake up any more if I won't see her again.

There was one particular girl in Estonia who I used to know in school, and when I go there, she has promised to buy a bottle of vodka and split it in half with me. Think I will get her out of my head if I drink myself into senility? ;]

I have had the same problem, but it didn't end well, my advice to you is to try and do something, or don't get uppset when someone else does, try o be her friend, things will develop, and if they don't at least you got a good friend and you will no longer have the "fear" of not seeing her again...
