I'm kind of glad Hetfield kicked Mustaine out. If Mustaine was still with Metallica, then Megadeth wouldn't have formed.

Everybody says the same thing.But I will opine that it would have been the technicality of 'Deth plus the brilliance of Metallica.

What technicality of Megadeth??!! So you daydream Dave never left Metallica, so like everybody keeps repeating - there wouldn't be a Megadeth.

Therefore, I just don't see how this thought (Dave never leaving Metallica) can "keep you warm" or make you happy. I don't get it.

I get your point; I don't get it how this 2 in one idea can make you happy. Like I said before, I don't think it could have been possible, James and Dave are two strong personalities, two big egos, the band would have imploded, this is what happens in such situations.

So let's enjoy reality this time, it works for the better, we've got two really good bands, Metallica and Megadeth, let's enjoy their music (the albums that we like) and have some fun or relax.

Exactly. What's the freaking point in speculating how things would go if he stayed. You'd never know anyway. The scenarios are obvious, and debating and proving your opinion in this case is just pointless. Do you all see why?

I understand that there would have been an implosion.But they would have rebounded as both of them are Never-say-Die personalities.I see it that way,although there would have been no Megadeth.

Mustaine cant take it if he can;t boss people around,

I was reading an interview in rolling stone mag taken right after his gig in bangalore,
he comes off as a person not bothered about people he is working with,
as if he is the CEO and the rest are employees.
If you can't acknwledge borderick as a great guitarist openly, it only shows insecurity,

Uhm about topic maybe if Metallica will stayed with Dave Mustaine for sure they will kill eachother xD is hard to said what really will happend with them....dave mustaine was very adict to drugs and for sure all will be end bad and james and lars and dave fight for the power of the band but really i think was good dave mustaine get fired now Megadeth exist but well xD

alive and kicking wiht one foot in the grave, i am not really gonna expect anything again from tallica R.I.P.

I honestly can't say. Who knows what might have happened had Dave been allowed to stay in the band? One thing I do know is that they probably wouldn't have put out a good deal of songs we've gotten out of them if Dave were still there and Kirk had never been with them.

Possibly, but then again who knows how the band would've changed? It's not as if Dave is the 'Metal guy' who wouldn't have ever taken a non-Metal direction, because Megadeth haven't exactly been consistent there either! People's attitudes change over time, and also various different scenarios could've happened even if the original line-up had remained, which could've altered the course of the music...
