24.11.2009 - 19:38 Written by Ellrohir on 24.11.2009 at 13:48 Why do bands that tour together have to play the same music? I always wanted diverse bands touring together, cause that makes it much more interesting and one could discover new bands that way. And Turisas and DragonForce together isn't weird at all sicne fans of DragnForce are usually Turisas fans and the other way around.

I'll strongly have to agree with Marcel, I saw them back when I still liked them (nowadays I'm shuddering at the thought ) in early '06 and at the time I considered it the most disappointing gig I've ever been to. (The second time I saw them, this summer, they weren't better either)

24.11.2009 - 23:25 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 24.11.2009 at 19:38 Diverse bands touring together is just stupid. The fans of one band are bored when the other one performs and vice-versa. When Cradle and Moonspell came here with Turisas, Turisas nearly killed the whole evening for me.

25.11.2009 - 10:24 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 24.11.2009 at 23:38 Feel free to be proud of not being "close-minded". I, on the other hand, don't want to waste 45 minutes of my life to see a band I hate live. Not to mention how that band almost kills my mood for the other bands I like.

25.11.2009 - 14:21 Written by Lord_Regnier on 25.11.2009 at 01:08 I know and that's what pisses me off about the metal crowd in general. Just being interested in the stuff they know. Never willing to take chances. Always whining. Btw my latest blog is more or less on the mindset of most metallers.

25.11.2009 - 15:20 Written by Ellrohir on 25.11.2009 at 15:11 Why do you consider it a bad concept? Both are power metal. Okay Turisas live is infinitely superior to DragonForce, but then again the only band worse live is HolyHell.

25.11.2009 - 21:42 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 25.11.2009 at 14:21 Man, do you even know what you're talking about? I know many bands that I'm not interested in and why should I want to see them live? So I can confirm my dislike of them? If you want to try something new, buy a goddamn CD or download it, no need to bore yourself on live gigs.

Well, seeing band live is one time pro year/decade/lifetime/whatever... but their studio albums you have at home and can listen to it again and again...so as long as it is good, they could suck live as much as they want...

27.11.2009 - 13:59 Written by Ellrohir on 26.11.2009 at 13:21 Considering that I never go to gigs, I totally agree with you. I don't give a fuck at the live aspect. Anyway, I have more important things to do than wasting my time at gigs + I can't stand crowds, especially if lots of people are drunk/drugged and act like retards. So yes, as long as I like the studio albums, bands can suck as much as they want live and it makes no difference to me. Most likely, I will never know about it, anyway.

27.11.2009 - 14:10 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 25.11.2009 at 16:13 I didn't know that they sucked live. I only heard the samples on their MySpace page and it was more than enough already. This band is god awful. I could not find the words to describe how boring it is.

Is it just me or is "Trail Of Broken Hearts" the lamest excuse for a power ballad ever? It's so fucking lame, and pansy-ass sounding. It makes me picture scantly dressed elves riding on winged unicorns flying through a field of rainbows.

Not only are they seriously boring and unoriginal...but they even manage to make their instruments sound annoying. They have the worst guitar sound I have probably ever heard, their vocalist (ex-vocalist fortunately) sounded like he was singing on a treadmill and the drumming is just meh. Cant wait until they finally give it a rest...
