Everybody that is interested in this area of metal will know of the whole goings ons with Jari leaving after "Iron" in 2004 and then the anticipation and expectations for "Dragonheads" and this new album with Petri Lindroos taking over to fill in the large abyss Jari left. "Dragonheads" was more of a teaser for this new album than anything else, including just one actual new song - but now after some minor setbacks we finally have the highly awaited new Ensiferum album and this is the real deal.

I really love this album because it has both components (for me) of a great album:
When I'm listening to it...its fucking great
And when I'm not listening to it, i wish I was!

still hasnt lost one once of power since the first spin...

A good and well produced album but not as soulful as I wished. The riffs and melodies are catchy and striking but more deep ambience could have done the album better. It's not bad at all, in fact it's very good at times, but it's not perfect.

I kinda agree. At first I worshipped this album when it came out, later on I noticed that it lacked something. Maybe soul, like you said.

Run of the mill, uninspired and boring.

I didn't like it very much! It has very childish songs! I just like Victory song track it's better than others.

I am still returning to this album, even if I more like "Iron". Just because I love Wintersun, I was pretty curious, how will the first full-lenght album with Petri sound like. And it did VERY VERY great! Just when I hear "Wanderer", my spine is shimmering. Keep on guys, From Afar was maybe even better, I hope in releasing another head-blowing shit!!!

Another great album by Ensiferum. I love the melancholic intro to the title track.

Love this album! great catchy melodies and choruses with interesting guitar work and an exciting tempo. Only song I dont like is DeathBringer, sounds like 3inches of blood or something. Other than that fantastic album!

Not as strong as their first 2 albums, but still a great Folk Metal album.

Another great album with alot of quality tracks throughout. Sure it's a slight step down in quality from their previous two releases, but it's still a fine album with epic moments

Easily in the top 3 best band's albums, better than Iron for me. The greatest songs are: "Deathbringer From The Sky", "One More Magic Potion", "Raised By The Sword", "Blood Is The Price Of Glory" and the epic title track. Such a great work, highly recommended!
