Now this ought to be very interesting, their last album was already pretty damn good. The cover art in itself is a thing of beauty.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!

They re wrote their debut and its good gothic vibes and it is easy to get in, radio friendly album. Good cover, one of my fav 80's pop songs or radio songs to not hurt someone feelings. Debut was better it was new, this is good album, but we know the band, so .... in years rankings that's why it will loose some points to me.

This is a fantastic album, probably AOTY for me. Good variety to this album, much like their first. The opener Heroin though. That song is a monster that also shows just how heavy this band could be if they really wanted to go that way, and yet it does not at all feel out of place with the rest of their material. Their cover of Hell is for Children is awesome too. There's a ton of heart on this album.

First impressions:
1) The intro of "Heroin" gives me vibes of "Hell Awaits" (not kidding)
2) Strength is heavier overall compared to the debut
3) “Little Bird” is the only song that could have been omitted
4) The cover of "Hell Is For Children" is almost as thrilling as the original
5) The bass throughout the album is killer
6) The album as a whole needs more time to be appreciated than Mana
7) Unto Others is a band that any fan of heavy metal, post-punk, and gothic rock should check out

I find this one slightly more engaging than their debut, but I really can't shake the same two feelings I had about Mana: 1) I've heard it all before; 2) I would like this album a whole lot more with different vocals.

This is really disappointing. I loved Mana but this has none of the energy or magic that made their debut special (except for maybe on Heroin, the only really good track here). There's that stupid vocal effect on his voice throughout the whole record, the guitars sound weak, the riffs are boring in almost every song, and the lyrics are borderline cringe at times. Lots of stupid earworms too.

As good as their previous album if not better, good songwriting, amazing singer and some earworm songs that will be stuck in your head all day.
My only complaints would be the lyrics which are a bit off putting at times and the relatively short length of their songs which gives them a somewhat too predictable rock/pop kind of song structure which is one of those things I am glad to be able avoid while listening to metal in general.

Still, their unique singer and overall talent more than make up for any of their shortcomings and make this a very welcome change from the typical metal landscape.

What an incredible record! It paints a great atmosphere, both uplifting and gloomy at the same time. I absolutely love Gabe's vocal style, it's very unique and addictive and he shows that he can use it aggressively if he really wanted to. The music is incredibly catchy and stays in your head for days which in this case is a very welcome stay! Absolutely one of my favourite albums released this year! \m/

There's an outstanding sense of elegance in their sonority, chiefly brought to the songs by the gothic rock vibe, but man, I cannot listen anything that resembles "heavy metal" in their sound. The heaviest passages of their discs remind me of some hard/glam bands, very close to a metalish sound, but definitely not just like.

This is really great stuff (again), I wasn't sure at first, but I think I am enjoying this even more than their debut. Quite addictive also.

I finally got around to listening to it.

What a shame, the opening track is so awesome and full of energy, but the rest of the album is mind numbingly boring. No energy and lazy vocals with too many effects.

Straight up lame album except the excellent opening song "heroin". although i see it as a missed opportunity. it could have been a nice 80s 90s rockvibe with some soul and energy in it.

I'm getting the slight gothic vibes from this album, but barely, mainly from the last song, which reminds me of a softer Paradise Lost. But for me this is mainly hard rock. There is some good, short, mainstream sounding songs here, but "Hell Is For Children" is probably my favourite song from the album.

This is a band with potential, particularly on the easy listening side of metal.

I just don't get the hype for these.

If I want to listen to so-called goth-rock, I'll listen to the proper stuff thanks; Bauhaus, The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Sisters, Nephilim, etc.

Well what can I say... These guys eventually clicked for me. Having seen them live three times now certainly helped.

I still prefer the 80's bands who influenced them, but there are some great tunes on this and "Mana".
