Missed this when it came out but I like the sound here; still room to convert it into more compelling songs but it's a solid beginning

The thing that irks me the most is how underwhelming the vocals are. Instead of powerful they seem to aim for delicate but it comes off, like, almost listless.

That was probably the biggest issue I had with it, yeah, they seemed to be stuck in a bit of a no man's land in terms of impact. Looks like this might be her first attempt at doing vocals in a band, maybe she'll improve with experience

It may be that Michalina wanted to distance herself from the Eluveitie sound but I agree that they haven't made up their mind where and how to place the vocals. I kind of want to like this album but it falls a step short of what I want it to be.

Prefer Cellar Darling slightly to this, but another good example of hurdy-gurdy metal. Like above, my main complaint being the vocals being a bit listless at times
