Quite awesome stuff with early Mark Shelton style vocals; good end result with the instrumental work, songwriting and different sounding singer than mainstream (metal) bands.

Little bit too late to the party with British heavy metal sound in 1990, but you know what? Doesn't matter, good stuff is good stuff whether you bake it with butter or don't.

Not the first wave would be my guess But it could also be that the songs were written earlier so that they'd represent an earlier time and were just released too late because of some record company stuff or some other b/s. Or maybe they just preferred this sound and wanted to do it in a second or third wave attempt -- I don't know how the waves go with NwoBhm, maybe there was just one

Lol, there was definitely just one but I think they just liked the sound of NWOBHM and kept it as is. In the end it doesn't matter that much, I think it conveys the right idea and you know what you're getting into. Imo just "Heavy Metal" as a tag would be enough... NWOBHM isn't really a necessary label.

I agree about the first sentence because to me there's a clear difference with the early British heavy metal to heavy metal in general with the former usually sounding less heavy and more focused on guitar melodies. So I like the tag or "genre" when I seek for this particular sound -- in comparison to, let's say, USA or German sounding heavy metal.
