Cannot wait for this new EP. Retrospective Monolog sounds like it could've been off Necrophagist' final album.

My issue with such release is the fact that is sounds so similar to Necrophagist that it feels like Hannes is taking advantage of Muhammed Suiçmez absence and lack of releases, to his own advantage. And his constant Youtube tease with the same approach doesn't help matters.

To be fair Hannes did state this is kind of an ode to all the bands that shaped his career on Bandcamp. Which he also helped compose (Necrophagist, Obscura, & Blotted Science).

Simply a masterclass display in technicality, as usual, this guy has some seriously impressive musicianship skills which is something I can greatly admire and appreciate even if I don't particularly find the style all that enjoyable. The title track definitely stands-out most for me.
