This is one of my all-time favorite albums.
The guitar work by Steve Clark and Pete Willis is amazing.

Too bad Def Leppard jumped the shark on their subsequent albums.

Def Leppard's best work, the energy they had on this album and the first one will be forever lost starting with the release of the famous and overrated Pyromania.

My first Def leppard album proper, interesting how different this sounds to hysteria:P

It's cool how different this is from their more popular albums.

Kinda improvement from the debut. In overall the songs are bit better and this musical direction seem to fit the band better than the one on the debut. On the other hand the songs here are all quite similar, except the ballad ofc, and I don't think there's anything as impressive as 'Overture' was on the 1st one. It's listenable an album, but pretty far from having a classic status.

For me Def Leppard's best album, listening to it is like taking a trip back to the early 80s.

You can really hear the influence this album had on Accept. Especially in the first song.

Not at all, I get Accept were the earlier band, but tracks "Let It Go" have very similar song structure to later Accept songs IMO.

I think this is their best album, High 'N' Dry combines their early rawness with more catchy and ambitious songwriting of their later classics. I don't think there are too many albums that combine more commercial style with dirty tone quite like this.

Only album i really like from leppard
