For a brief period in the late 80s and early 90s, funk rock was all the rage; finding themselves in the right place at the right time with the right album was Extreme, who found themselves one of the hottest commodities at the time. Extreme II: Pornograffiti (hereafter Pornograffiti) is the crowning achievement in the band's career, featuring not only that song, but also some of the best funk rock you will hear.

Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.

A very enjoyable album, such fun to listen to. No songs lower the quality or serve as "filler material", and though the majority more or less stick to the same formula, it's the little things (like that amazingly eccentric solo which introduces "He-Man Woman Hater") which make Extreme's sophomore effort stand out from the crowd. Highlights for me are the title track, "He-Man Woman Hater" and the lovely ballad "When I first kissed You".

This is fun, fun album. Pornograffitti's very mainstream and pop alright, but who cares? At least half of these songs are classics in my book, Nuno's creative solos could make anything sound cool.

Definitely a great album, in fact their first three albums are must listen and even their 4th one from 1995 (Waiting for the Punchline) is at least interesting, worth checking out.
