This is something of a throwback to Nocturnal - the production is much fuller and rounder than the last two albums (Ritual and Deflorate were rather thin and tinny sounding). It's quite heavy, catchy, and dark. The use of sampling is also very cool.

It's micro-evolution but evolution nonetheless.

Such an awesome album.
they are really one of those very few bands where one knows that every new album will kick ass!

The bonus track in the japanese edition of this album is so dam good. Hell the whole album is in general.

I still keep coming back to this album. Really really good.

Unfortunately, this was their last album derserving a rating above average. IMO, Abysmal and Nightbringers couldn't catch up.
BTW, the lyrics of "Raped In Hatred By Vines Of Thorn" and "Phantom Limb Masturbation" are very, very sick - but interesting. Quite strange to see which topics came to Mr. Strnad's mind while writing this but I appreciate his attempt of portraying most disturbing subjects in an almost philosophical manner.
