Hard to listen such music? What do you mean?
HoF has always delivered such kind of raw music and this time, it just the same. I really feel you haven't fully grasp the HoF's music, K7.
Put in this way, people LOVE this kind of cacophonous.

Just a few more days!!!!!! My copy will be here Tuesday (release day). It's hard to wait.
(EDIT:) After writing this, I went to the Amazon site to check my order. They have an instant download available for CD purchases, so I got both MP3s and a CD for less than the MP3 price. This album is pretty awesome. So far I like it more than De Vermis. I love DITC and Snakes and this might end up wedged in around them on my list of pure awesomeness.

This is currently my album of the year! It's dirty ,raunchy ,old school Metal, but it never seems like it's trying to be ,it just is.They go full throttle then take the gas off the petal a bit and let the smoky atmosphere soak in. I loved De Vermis but I think this one has it beat! All Hail the SOBER Matt Pike!

Spotify had it up a week early, so I've been ecstatic.
still early, really liked the prior album - no stand out tracks, but seemed mighty solid top to bottom... but i think this is defo better. currently sits behind DITC, which is also my fave of theirs.

Today it releases officially.
It was already officially released on June 19 in Europe and on June 22 in the rest of the world. The June 23 date here on MS was wrong.

I got my copy from a CD shop on 22/06? Oh well.
That was the official release date for the rest of the world. In Europe it was already a couple of days earlier.

Decent, competent, functional, ok, satisfactory High On Fire. Same as usual. Got pretty boring after half an hour. Same as usual. Don't see why they make their albums 50+ minutes long. Makes me pine for another Lair of the Minotaur record though.

This album is very good, but I think De Vermis Mysteriis is much crisper and a better representation of their sophisticated technical abilities. Also, De Vermis Mysteriis is thematically better; the songs hold together as an album a little bit more. However, in a vacuum, Luminiferous is still really really good. There are a handful of songs that I keep coming back to and no songs that I dislike. High on Fire are just an outstanding group, and while I don't think this is their best, I think they should still be proud of it, as it is still a welcome edition to their discography (because it's still better than most other bands' best!).
