Sadly this doesn't really do much for me. It's not badly made by any means, it's certainly well performed and has a decent enough production, but at the same time there's not enough to grab my attention. Unfortunately I'm struggling to find something that stands out above the countless other standard modern death metal bands.

Enjoyable listen. Interesting to see that they've changed up their formula a little bit rather than trying to be Dismember 2.0.

Finally got to listen to these guys, and I really didn't expect it to be this melodic! This is just my kind of death metal right now, I've been listening to Entombed and the early Amorphis stuff, and this is a great successor to the old school sound of the 90's. The songwriting is great, the riffs and vocals are ugly as hell, and stuffed with nice guitar melodies!
Great stuff!

Boring OSDM revival band spent the last 6 months listening to In Flames. The vocal range on this album makes John Tardy sound like Michael Kiske.

Couldn't disagree more with any of the negativity I've seen levied at this record. It's their best to date and I love it.

Apparently this is quite a divisive album based on comments I've seen on some reviews? Tbh I never really saw what particularly distinguished them to get them so hyped over all the other OSDM revival that I also wasn't that interested in, so adding in the melodeath elements here and dabbling with a more accessible song in The Black Curtain has given them a bit more character in my eyes, even if they still don't particularly stand out to me with any of their songwriting. I also actually like the closing track, which seems to have been highlighted as a weak point in a few reviews

It sounds like a banging OSDM album with touches of melodeath and death'n'roll to me.

I love this band though. For me they stand out, simply because their riffs and their songs are more memorable than most.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them later this year at the Underworld with 200 Stab Wounds and Enforced. What a lineup!!!

Now this is real melodic death metal (actual death metal with sweet melodies woven in🤘) These dudes were amazing live on the In Flames tour. Dead Star, The Black Curtain, and Caught In The Treads ripped live! This is such an addictive record 🤘

Liked everything except the vocals. Felt it as a mismatch with the cool riffs and melodies. Not a bad album.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

This is such a mix bah type of an album. Of all the songs I like the ones with a touch of death-n-roll in them.

I'm really surprised not to read the word "goth" anywhere in the comments or the review of that album. To me that is almost the first thing that came to mind.

Overall I really like that album, I didn't connect with older Gatecreeper but this is a very fun listen. It mixes different influences very well, from that Carcass-y Death n' Roll to those goth rock vibes, while quite obviously beeing rooted in old school swedish melodeath.
