As anyone who knows me well enough should know by now, it's impossible for me to stay quiet when it comes to The Meads Of Asphodel. This year's interesting Taste The Divine Wrath split sees the peculiar British group teaming up with black metal band Tjolgtjar, resulting in two sounds that, while somewhat simplistic, still retain a great feeling of uniqueness.

It's really nothing too mindblowing... doesn't deserve that low rating, but still, don't look for any amazingly layered, Sonderkommando or Murder Of Jesus The Jew type sound from the Meads here. It's more like their older stuff, more simplistic and darkly comedic. Not a bad thing though, and the cover of You've Got The Love is pretty hilarious. The Tjolgtjar side aint half bad either
