However shutting of my auditory sense had it's own danger, some places in the trek required a fair amount of climbing and the road was also very narrow many a times. Had to finally make a compromise and put just one earbud.
The music was also sappy Bollywood numbers, not really my cup of tea. To shut them off, I plugged in my earphones, gave these guys a wide berth. My enjoyment of the trek also enhanced quite a lot.
I just went on a long and arduous 13 KM trek at Kheerganga (Himachal Pradesh, India). While the view was stunning, some of the fellow trekkers were extremely irritating as they were playing loud music on portable speakers.
