Carlo Strappa started listening to metal music when he was just 10 years old. In the beginning he listened to a lot of heavy metal and hard rock until he discovered Venom's "Black Metal". The album inspired him to learn to play guitar at the age of 14, but there were no other musicians with similar tastes around. Strappa solved this problem in the form of writing his own fanzine (Lethal Metal from 1986 - 1990). In 1990 Strappa started writing death metal columns for official newsstand magazines Rockerilla and Music Club which he continued for approximately 10 years. In addition to writing, Strappa gave birth to the first incarnation of Resurrecturis in 1990.
Aside from managing Resurrecuris, Strappa works as a marketing manager for a company producing industrial goods.
